This policy explains what information Smart SEO Scanner (smartseoscanner.com) collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We collect what we need to run the service and to understand how it's used, and nothing more.
When you create an account we store your name, email address and a securely hashed password. Anything you create in your account, such as pages, links, settings and uploaded files, is stored so we can provide the service to you.
When you scan a URL, we fetch that public page and store the results so the report can be viewed again. Reports for public websites may appear in our Recent Sites list. Please don't scan pages you don't have the right to share.
We use Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager to understand how visitors use the site. These tools set cookies and collect information such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser. Advertising storage is turned off by default. We also use essential cookies to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
Our servers record basic request data, including IP address, time, page requested and browser type, to keep the service secure, prevent abuse and fix problems. Logs are kept for a limited time.
We send account emails such as password resets and important service notices. If you contact us, we use your details only to reply.
We don't sell your personal information. We share data only with providers that help us run the service (such as hosting and analytics), when the law requires it, or to protect our users and the service.
You can update your account details at any time and delete your account from your account settings. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete your personal data. Email us to make a request.
The service isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
